Elim Village Retirement Community’s investment in Toch Sleepsense enables good and timely healthcare decision for residents.
Tochtech Technologies is delighted to announce an agreement with Elim Village Retirement Community to equip its long term care neighbourhoods with Toch Sleepsense, Tochtech’s award winning sleep sensor and bed-exit technology. Elim Village’s decision to install Sleepsense starting in its Behavioural Support Transition Neighbourhoods (BSTN) is the first phase of its investment in Sleepsense.

During the test pilot we saw how Sleepsense not only enhances quality of life for residents by eliminating noise compared to conventional bed alarms, but also has other capabilities in monitoring and capturing data that help in making good and timely healthcare decisions for our residents” said Jennifer Ladesma, Director of Care, Elim Village Care Society.
Toch Sleepsense enables care staff to be automatically notified when a senior gets out of bed, has not returned to bed or in the event of a medical emergency while in bed. Sleepsense bed exit alerts will be integrated with the nurse call as well as other systems used by Elim Village. Additionally, sleep quality data of each resident captured will enable care givers to adjust care plans and add interventions to address sleep issues.

Having been through an exhaustive testing period of the Sleepsense technology, installation at the Behavioral Support Transition Neighborhoods (BSTN) at Elim Village will begin immediately.
